The Bloodshed Brothers are Zachary and Jeromy Ball of Temecula California
Ever since we were little we have loved Halloween.

The year 1990, just turning two, we moved in to our house here in Temecula. Growing up, we spent years helping our parents decorate the house. Our mom had had all of her cute decorations and that was fine for us until one fateful year.....
while trick or treating we came across a house that had a hallway made out of black plastic that went up to the front door. We went in and were exposed to our first fog machine and strobe light. To the right was a "static ghost."  Walking up to the door and knocking it slowly opened, a man appeared saying in very deep voice "WHAT DO YOU WANT!" He gave of Candy and slammed the door. As we are about to leave someone behind the ghost turned on a leaf blower and the ghost came to life! It scared us out to the sidewalk. WE WERE HOOKED!

We were bitten by the bug. We had never experienced anything like it. After that night we decided we didn't want to trick or treat anymore. Starting Halloween 1996, we would lay on our walkway and pretend to be a prop and scare anyone and everyone that walked up. After a few hours of scaring we would walk around the corner to see Mr. Fields haunted house. (the one mentioned above) We would get the pants scared off of us and call it a night.

Now fast forward to the year 2000. We are in the 5th grade and getting tired of just laying on the porch scaring people. We wanted to have some type of walk through haunt. We got together with our friend Natalie and planed a small walk way haunt at her house. It was a blast. A strobe light and black light lit the scene. Black plastic for the walls. We had a cardboard box with a hole cut out of it for a head to fit through. We put an actor inside the box and he would spring to life when the TOTs came to get candy.

Now we move to 2001. We had gotten our neighbor Nathan to joins us. We decided to do the same plan as the 2000 haunt but at Nathan's house. Since Natalie lived in a different neighborhood than us and Nathan, we didn't see the harm in repeating the same haunt. The only difference was an added fog machine, a few tombstones and an extra black light.

In 2002 we go the chance to help out at a backyard walk-though haunt that charged 7 dollars to get in. This was the first taste we got of the haunt we strive for today; props, animatronics, lighting, sound, design, scares. Everything was a truly awesome experience.

2003 hits and we are 8th graders. We pretty much decide enough is enough and go all out and make a decent size haunt in our parents back yard. We pulled out all the stops (or as many as we could). We had a crew of 15 to help build and scare. Armed this time with a ton of PVC pipe, several rolls of black plastic, 2 strobe lights, 2 fog machines, and 4 black lights, we went to work. Surprising, for a bunch of 8th graders, it went pretty well. We had around 300 people come through and they were very impressed on how a bunch of kids could make something like that.

After the success of the 2003 haunt we were devastated when our parents said we could no longer do a haunt in the backyard. To make matters worse nobody that helped us the past year was up to do it at their house.

So for the years 2004-2007, it was just down to the two of us. We did small yard haunts just itching for the day where we could do a full walk through. Then real life kicked in, we both got jobs and got busy in high school and never had the time or money to do anything big.

And then 2008 came. We were two 20 year old bachelors and were renting our own house with some friends. We decided that it was time to start going big again. We had a huge success with this haunt. We had 600 people come through. The haunt's name was Night terrors. Featuring a clown room, butcher room, spider room, electric room, graveyard, strobes, and foggers. We had an amazing group of actors.

Now back in business, we set out to plan our 2009 haunt. The plan, to completely out do ourselves to make up for all the years we didn't get to do a haunted house. We had 902 people come though our haunt, The final Resting Place.
